UPDATE #1: Missing Juvenile - Simone Gonzalez (13) - FOUND SAFE

Update #1, 03/12/2018: Late Sunday evening (03/11/2018), officers assigned to the South Precinct were dispatched to 3245 Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road in unincorporated Lawrenceville in reference to the location of missing juvenile, Simone Gonzalez (age 13).  When officers arrived at the Asian restaurant, they confirmed her identity and removed her from GCIC as missing.

On Saturday afternoon (03/10/2018), a detective from CID began a detailed investigation into the whereabouts of Simone.  The detective contacted several of Simone’s friends and looked into her social media history.  Though no one knew where she was located, everyone was eager to assist in the investigation.

Once Simone was found on Sunday evening, officers contacted her mother and the two of them were re-united.  At this time, we do NOT believe that her disappearance was against her will.  Specific details regarding her activities while she was missing are not being released due to OCGA 49-5-40.
