Original, 01/10/2017: (Norcross, Georgia) Gwinnett County Police are asking for help from the public in locating the suspect who was responsible for striking 46 year old Ramon Carrion and leaving him for dead in Norcross. The incident happened on January 7, 2017, shortly after 3 a.m. when Carrion was located in a shopping center at 5935 South Norcross Tucker Rd. During the course of the investigation, it was estimated that the victim was struck by a vehicle on January 6, 2017, between 11 p.m. and midnight near Danbury Drive and Greenwood Drive (.25 miles or 1300 feet away from the shopping center).
After reviewing nearby video surveillance, it was determined that the victim was dragged from the incident location to the shopping center location where he was dislodged from the vehicle. The suspect driver immediately fled the scene and never tried to render aid after discovering it was a person they were dragging. The following photo is the actual image of the vehicle captured on video surveillance.
