SWAT Incident
(July 23, 2016 12:40 AM) On July 22, 2016, at approximately 2000 hours, the Gwinnett County Police Department responded to a domestic incident at 238 Jarrod Oaks Court in Loganville (unincorporated Gwinnett County). When officers arrived, a female complainant informed them that the father of her child, Keandre Davis (19 years old), had barricaded himself inside of his residence with their infant child after a dispute. The complainant stated that Davis was armed with a firearm and had made threats to hurt himself and their child.
Officers surrounded the residence and attempted to call Davis out. They received no response from inside so the SWAT team was activated and responded. Warrants for Davis were obtained for simple battery and simple assault. After the SWAT team responded, it was discovered that Davis had fled the residence prior to police arriving. He left the infant in the care of a family friend who returned to the scene after the SWAT team responded with the child. The child was returned to its mother and was not harmed. The whereabouts of Davis are unknown at this time.
The Gwinnett County Police Department requests that if anyone has information about this case or the location of Davis, that they notify police immediately.
