(Duluth, Georgia) Gwinnett County Police are asking for help from the public in locating Jamaal Lamont Cooke who is 22 years old. He is wanted for Rape, Aggravated Sodomy, and Felony Obstruction. On April 23, 2016, the victim, an 18 year old female with the mental capacity of a 10 year old was visiting a friend at the Paramount Apartments, 4201 Pleasant Lake Village in Duluth. Cooke was also at the apartment. After her friend left the apartment, the suspect, Jamaal Cooke raped the victim. On April 25, 2016, detectives made contact with the suspect at the Paramount Apartments. The suspect resisted arrest and fled the scene on foot. The suspect is known to frequent the area and has no vehicle. The suspect also has an extensive criminal history in Gwinnett County and other metro Atlanta jurisdictions.
