Suspect Robs Bank Using Phone Notes App

(Norcross, Georgia) Gwinnett Police are searching for a man who successfully robbed one bank and unsuccessfully attempted to rob a second bank on the same day. On September 23, 2017, at approximately 9:00 am, the suspect walked into the Wells Fargo Bank at 1625 Indian Trail Rd in Norcross. He walked up to the bank teller and showed her a note that was written in the notes app on his cell phone. The note said, “I have a gun give me your money.”The teller filled an envelope with approximately $1000 U.S. currency and gave it to the suspect.

Shortly after that robbery, the First Citizens Bank at 1725 Indian Trail Lilburn Rd in Norcross reported the same male attempted to rob that bank. The male walked up to a teller, showed the teller a note on his cell phone that read, “Give me the money.” The teller told the suspect that was not a valid account, and did not hand over any money. The suspect walked out of the bank and fled the scene in possibly a red Toyota Corolla or Camry with dark tinted windows.

Suspect description: Black male 6’0” 200lbs black and blue checkered long sleeve shirt, pants, black and white shoes.
