Taxi Cab Driver Stabbed and Robbed Sixteen Year Old Arrested and Charged as Adult

(Lawrenceville, Georgia) On September 28, 2015, at 2:15AM, Gwinnett County Police responded to a person stabbed call near 1550 Boggs Road. When they arrived at the location, they found a Hispanic male laying on the side of the road. Several citizens were rendering first aid to the victim. His clothing was covered in blood. Responding officers observed multiple stab wounds to his body. While at the scene, the victim reported that he was attacked, stabbed several times and robbed. He also reported that his taxi cab had been taken. The victim was transported to Grady Hospital where he is still recovering from his injuries.

Before the incident happened, the victim went to 1500 Boggs Road, Autumn Vista Apartments to pick up a fare. At some point, the vicious attack took place and the victim’s taxi was taken. Approximately two hours later, the taxi was found wrecked and abandoned at Old Norcross Road/Ingram Road which is 5 ½ miles from the incident location. Later the same night, detectives developed a suspect. The suspect was located at a house in Norcross. He has been identified as Luis Rojas (16yo). The suspect has been charged as an adult. He is being housed at RYDC in Rockdale County for Armed Robbery and Aggravated Assault.
