COVID-19 Response: Center is open for limited visitors
In an evolving response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the shelter kennel has reopened with a maximum occupancy of 50 people.
When visiting the shelter, patrons should follow CDC guidelines such as:
- Practice social distancing; maintain a distance of six feet or more between people from different households at all times
- Wash your hands thoroughly and frequently; use hand sanitizer
- Practice coughing and sneezing etiquette
- Wear a face covering as much as possible when in public
- Stay home if you’re feeling sick or exhibiting symptoms of illness
What to know before you go:
- The center has limited occupancy; you may be directed to wait in your car or in our education room. Please follow the posted signage
- There are no holds of animals at any time
- Completing the online adoption/foster application will help to speed the process when you arrive for your meet and greet with potential new pets
- You can bring family members and current pets to your meet and greet, but please be mindful of the maximum capacity and others waiting their turn
- Gloves are available for visitors
- As always, all adoptable pets have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped
- Per County ordinance (Sec. 66-7), overnight camping is prohibited
Animal Welfare and Enforcement is following all guidance provided by the CDC and the National Animal Control Association in response to COVID-19.
