Questions about Senior Services

How do I become a participant at one of the three senior centers?
If you are 60 years or older and a Gwinnett County resident, an assessment will be taken to determine if the center suits your needs. You should be able to function with minimal assistance. There is no application or fee, but you must provide your address, phone number and emergency contact information.

What are the hours of operation?

Activities are scheduled Monday to Friday from 9:00am until 1:00pm.

Do you provide transportation?
There is limited transportation available. Transportation to and from the centers is provided by a contractor and must be arranged through the center Manager on a scheduled basis.

If I have my own transportation, do I have to follow a set schedule?
No, you may feel free to come to the center at your convenience.

Are meals served at the centers and is there a cost?
Yes. Breakfast and lunch is available at the center. There is no charge, but you may make a donation to help to offset the cost of the meals. If you have dietary restrictions, you are welcome to bring your meal from home so you may still enjoy the fellowship. A microwave and refrigerator are available for your convenience.

What activities are offered at the center?
Each month a calendar of activities is posted at the center. You may also check the appropriate center and click on the calendar of events.
