The Information Technology Infrastructure Section provides services in the areas of Desktop Support, Server Administration, Network Support, and Telecommunications. The staff supports over 3600 personal computers, 1000 printers, approximately 600 Microsoft Servers, 110 physical network locations and 5500 telephone lines throughout the County. Services offered include the following:
Telephony adds, moves, and changes are performed, as well as daily administration for various County locations. Support is provided for new system design and installation, as well as usage reporting and problem resolution.
Daily administration, user security, system security (patch management, antivirus) and system monitoring are provided for enterprise servers. Enterprise e-mail and active directory administration are performed. System analysis, design and implementation services are offered, as well as application support and problem resolution.
Daily network and SAN administration are performed as well as security for wireless, Internet, firewall, remote VPN and intrusion prevention services. Enterprise network analysis, design and implementation services are provided as well as cable installation and management. Application support and problem resolution is also provided.
