Storage Unit Burglary – Suspects Arrested

Update #1, 04/23/2019:

After publishing the original Media Release, the lead detective assigned to this criminal investigation was able to identify the “unknown” suspect as Andrew Luther Brown (age 33, Buford).  He also received additional information that the suspects were staying at a campground in Cumming, GA. 

On Friday, April 19, deputies with the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Elvedin Cufurovic.  He was placed under arrest.  He is currently incarcerated at the Forsyth County Jail for charges in that county.  At a later date, he will be transferred to the Gwinnett County Jail to face his outstanding warrants for the burglaries. 

Later that same evening, the lead detective located Brown at the campground.  He was arrested by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office for charges in that county.  He will also be transported to the Gwinnett County Jail at a later time.  The detective assigned to the original case secured seven warrants for Burglary against Brown.

 

Original, 04/11/2019:

(Grayson, Georgia)  The Gwinnett County Police Department Burglary Unit needs assistance in identifying a suspect in a recent burglary series.

At around 2 AM on March 25, two suspects were captured on security cameras breaking into several storage units at the SecureLock Storage located at 1573 Athens Highway in Grayson. 

One suspect (the driver) has been identified as Elvedin Cufurovic (age 34, Loganville).  He currently has 7 active warrants for Burglary 2nd degree.  His whereabouts are currently unknown. 

The other suspect is still unknown.  He is described as a white male, 30-40 years old, bald, black pants, black shirt, facial hair with tattoos on his right arm.
