(Peachtree Corners, Georgia)  The Gwinnett County Police Department Accident Investigation Unit is investigating a Monday morning crash that resulted in one fatality.  The incident occurred on November 11 at around 11:15 am. 

According to the preliminary investigation, Chequan Burkett (age 25, Peachtree Corners) was traveling northbound on Peachtree Corners Circle.  He said that as he was approaching the intersection of Jones Mill Spur, the vehicle in front of him hit his brake causing him to swerve into oncoming traffic.  As he traveled into oncoming traffic, he was involved in a head-on collision with a gold Honda Accord.

The driver of the gold Honda Accord, Min Kim (age 37, Hartwell, GA) died as a result of his injuries.

Chequan Burkett was arrested and charged with Vehicular Homicide 2^nd Degree and Failure to Maintain Lane.  He is currently out on bond.
