UPDATE #1: Former Employee Charged in Restaurant Burglary

Update #1, 01/13/2020: Following the publication of the initial Media Release, the lead detective in this case identified the burglary suspect as Stephaun Gallaread (age 26). Gallaread is a former employee who worked at the restaurant in the summer of 2019.  He has been charged with one count of Burglary 2nd Degree.  Gallaread is not yet in custody, but we encourage him to turn himself in to the Gwinnett County Jail.

 

Original, 01/07/2020: (Lawrenceville, Georgia) The Burglary Unit needs the public’s help in identifying a man who recently prepared food and napped during a burglary at a local fast-food restaurant on Christmas morning.

At around 12:15 AM on December 25, a man approached the Taco Bell at 4880 Sugarloaf Parkway in unincorporated Lawrenceville and entered through the drive-thru window.  After he makes entry, he is seen on surveillance using the fryers to make himself a meal and then eats.  Following that, he proceeds to take a nap on the restaurant floor.  Prior to leaving about three hours later, the suspect steals a laptop and tablet. 

The suspect is described as a black male wearing black sweat pants, a black hooded sweatshirt, and black sneakers.
