Stabbing Near Shiloh High School

(Snellville, Georgia)  A GCPD detective is investigating a stabbing that occurred earlier this morning.  Shortly before 8am, officers assigned to the South Precinct were dispatched to a stabbing call in the area of Stone Mountain Highway and Bethany Church Road in unincorporated Snellville.

They found a teen male who had been stabbed on the left side of his torso.  He told the responding officers that he was stabbed by a male who was wearing a hoodie and mask along Valley Brook Road.  He was eventually transported to a local hospital to be treated for his non-life threatening injuries.

Officers saturated the area looking for the suspect and the crime scene.  Because he was a student of Shiloh High School, officers visited the school looking for more information.

While at the school, they encountered another teen who was possibly involved in the stabbing.  The teen was transported to Gwinnett County Police Headquarters for questioning.

After being questioned by detectives, the teen was eventually released to family members.

The detective assigned to this case plans to interview the stabbing victim once he is done receiving emergency medical treatment.  As of this time, the detective is still trying to determine who the primary aggressor is.  Once that is determined, charges could be filed.

Because of the ages of the teens involved, their names and exact ages will not be released at this time.

The detective would like to speak with anyone who has first-hand information about this incident.  If anyone has any information to share in this case, please contact GCPD detectives at 770-513-5300.  To remain anonymous, tipsters should contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or visit www.crimestoppersatlanta.org.  Crime Stoppers tipsters can receive up to $2,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.  Case Number:  18-087726
