Suspect with "333" Tattoo on Face Robs Local Convenience Store - Suspect Arrested

Update #1, 01/16/2018: Following the publication of the original Media Release on December 21, 2017, the lead detective assigned to the case began to receive tips about the possible identity of the robbery suspect.  After conducting follow-up, Kennedy Kurtz (age 21, Duluth) was arrested and charged with one count of Criminal Attempt to Commit Robbery.  He was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail on Sunday, January 14. 

Original, 12/21/2017: (Lawrenceville, Georgia)  The GCPD Robbery Unit is hoping that someone recognizes a suspect in a recent armed robbery.  The incident occurred around 7am on Saturday, December 16 at the QuikTrip at 1055 Old Peachtree Road in unincorporated Lawrenceville. 

A light-skinned Hispanic or white male approached the attendants and told them that he was robbing the store and needed $300.  He held a silver handgun in his right hand.  The employees told the suspect that they didn’t have access to any cash, and the suspect left without anything. 

The employees described him as approximately 5 feet 10 inches, about 150 lbs., dark colored hoodie, dark colored pants, a grey colored scarf or bandana around his neck, brown back pack, and having a “333” tattoo below his right eye.
