UPDATE #2: Homicide Arrest - Centerview Drive, Duluth

Update #2, 07/15/2019:The other shooting victim in the initial incident is identified as Matthew-Evan Graham (age 17, Duluth).  He was shot in the shoulder area and transported to the hospital immediately following the shooting for treatment (19-040319).  After his treatment, he was discharged from the hospital.

Investigative information: While detectives were reviewing evidence during the initial homicide crime scene, they located a set of keys to a white Mercedes passenger vehicle.  The vehicle was listed as stolen from Durwood Lane in unincorporated Duluth on April 15 (19-033462).

In the early morning hours of May 8, officers assigned to the Central Precinct were dispatched to a “discharging firearms” call at the Prescott Apartments at the 1600 building.  This is the same building where the homicide occurred a few days prior.  Officers found shell casings in a breezeway in front of one of the doors to an apartment.  The apartment door had several bullet holes.  Officers entered the home to check on the wellbeing of anyone inside.  No one was home.  The detective learned that Milord was a resident of the apartment (19-041319 & 19-041356).

On May 8, an arrest warrant was issued for Matthew-Evan Graham for Theft by Receiving Stolen Property in reference to the stolen white Mercedes.  He lives in the same neighborhood where the vehicle was stolen.

On May 13, Graham was arrested for the Theft by Receiving warrant during a traffic stop.

On May 13, the lead detective assigned to this case obtained three arrest warrants for Richie Milord (age 28, Duluth).  Milord is accused of shooting Matthew-Evan Graham on May 4.   The warrants were for Aggravated Assault, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony.  Graham and Manget were together on the night of the homicide and were both shot by Milord.

Milord was arrested during a traffic stop on Friday, July 12 by a deputy at the Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office (19-036347 & 19-063648).  He was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail at around 4:45 PM.  The lead detective assigned to the homicide of Manget (19-040767) charged Milord with Murder, Aggravated Assault, and two counts of Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Felony

The lead detective is looking into the possibility that this crime is gang-related.  Graham and Milord are currently incarcerated at the Gwinnett County Jail with no bonds.

Graham and Milord are also facing additional charges on unrelated cases.
