BICENTENNIAL SCHOOL EXHIBIT AT LAWRENCEVILLE FEMALE SEMINARY

(Lawrenceville, Ga., March 8, 2018) – The opening reception of the Bicentennial school exhibit will be held on Friday, March 9 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. with Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation, the Gwinnett County Public School System and Georgia Gwinnett College. Guests will have an opportunity to see artifacts like slate pencils, historic photos, and teaching certificates representing the rich history of education in Gwinnett County.

Local artifacts detailing everyday life in the county will be on display including quilts, clothing, prehistoric tools and more. Step back in time as guided tours of the Isaac Adair House and the Lawrenceville Female Seminary are led by costumed interpreters. The exhibit will be on display Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. through December 31. The Lawrenceville Female Seminary is located at 455 South Perry Street in Lawrenceville.
