Lawrenceville, Ga., March 1, 2018) — Each year, water leaks in the average home can account for more than 10,000 gallons in wasted water. By fixing these easily corrected leaks, homeowners can save up to 10 percent on their water bills. 

DWR encourages Gwinnett residents and businesses to hunt down their water drips throughout the year—especially during the EPA’s “Fix a Leak” Week. This year “Fix a Leak” Week is March 19 – 25. DWR is offering residents an opportunity to get ahead of “Fix a Leak” Week by hosting two free, hands-on workshops:

• Saturday, March 10 at 11 a.m. at the Suwanee Library
• Tuesday, March 13 at 6 p.m. in the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center, Conference Room A

At these workshops, attendees will learn how to easily identify and stop leaks in their home. Licensed plumbers and water experts will be on hand to answer common questions and demonstrate simple repairs. Pre-registered attendees will receive a free, low-flow home retrofit kit.
