Pre-K - 12

We partner with Gwinnett County Public Schools through its ongoing support of educational programs designed to advance student achievement in science and social studies. Gwinnett’s natural resources; and presenting the interaction and interrelationships of lifestyles and cultures, past, present, and future, as they relate to the living world around us.

Visiting teachers can choose a two-hour Quest, a two-hour Exploratory Field Study, or both! Grade-specific curriculum comes alive with hikes, outdoor classrooms, a state-of-the-art laboratory, and a unique historic property.

For exciting STEAM, grade-specific curriculum brought to the classroom, teachers can choose from a wide variety of Outreach programs. For science nights or festivals, the Discovery Dome portable planetarium features several programs from which to choose.

All K-12 programs are aligned with the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) and the Gwinnett County Academic Knowledge and Skills Curriculum (AKS). The programs also support the Georgia Career Clusters Pathways, particularly Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources; Energy; Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM), and may help a school in its efforts to obtain STEM certification.
