Gwinnett has numerous volunteer opportunities throughout County Government. Finding one that fits your needs is simple.

Many of our volunteer opportunities have age restrictions or require a background check. A volunteer liaison will review your applications and contact you soon to get your started.

Youth Volunteers
Volunteer Gwinnett follows the Georgia Department of Labor’s child labor laws for its volunteer opportunities.
Volunteer Gwinnett may offer opportunities outside of these guidelines based upon a particular event or other unique circumstances.For those not familiar with the details of the child labor laws please visit Georgia Department of Labor’s child labor laws webpage.
Definition of youth volunteer
- Age 12 and 17 years old is considered a minor.
- Engaged in a limited task related to an educational or learning project
- Requires parent or legal guardian permission to participate
Fair Labor Standards Act child labor laws
Time restrictions for minors 14 or 15 years of age
