SR 316 Clearing
SR 316 Clearing
The Georgia Department of Transportation is cutting trees along State Route 316 from Milepost 0-6. The Georgia DOT is clearing all vegetation from the edge of pavement back 30 to 50 feet. This will eliminate a large amount of trees falling onto the roadway during inclement weather. This also allows for additional area for recovery if a vehicle leaves the roadway.
Weather permitting, work is expected to continue throughout the summer months and into the fall.
