The Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center parking deck is open to the public, and construction continues on the SPLOST-funded courthouse expansion. Visitors may park in the main public lot in front of the building on Langley Drive, the new parking deck behind the building at the corner of Constitution Boulevard and Nash Street, or in the overflow lot on Nash Street.
There are lighted sidewalks from the parking deck to the west entrance of the building along Constitution Boulevard, and the main entrance at the front of the building off of Langley Drive. Raised crosswalks have been installed and speed limits on Constitution Boulevard and Nash Street have been lowered to enhance safety for pedestrians. Shuttle buses run every 15 minutes between the Nash Street overflow lot, the Nash Street parking deck entrance, the west GJAC entrance, and the Langley Drive public entrance from 6:00am to 7:00pm.
The parking deck provides 1,450 parking spaces and has three entrances: Nash Street, Constitution Boulevard, and the service drive. There is one bank of elevators and multiple stairwells throughout the deck. Handicap-accessible parking spaces are located on the P2 entrance levels on Nash Street and Constitution Boulevard.
The courthouse expansion should be complete by the last quarter of 2020, so there will be active construction areas between the new parking deck and the Gwinnett Justice and Administration Center. Drivers and pedestrians should use caution while on the roads and sidewalks surrounding the building as construction continues.
