FIRE DAMAGES CAMPER ON MOHAWK DRIVE IN LAWRENCEVILLE

(Lawrenceville, Ga., Feb. 2, 2021) – Firefighters responded mid-morning on Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, to a fifth-wheel camper on fire in the side yard of a residence on Mohawk Drive in Lawrenceville. The camper was engulfed in flames on arrival. The blaze caused heavy damage to the camper and minor radiant heat damage to a second vehicle parked nearby. There were no injuries reported. The fire appears accidental and may have originated from an appliance inside the camper. There was power to the camper from a shoreline and the heat was running to warm the trailer. The camper had not been used in over a year.
