Fire Investigator Seeking Leads In Recent Vehicle Arson Case
(Loganville, Ga., Nov. 20, 2020) – Gwinnett County fire investigators are trying to determine who is responsible for setting a 2003 Nissan Altima on fire in front of a mobile home during the early morning hours of Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2020. The vehicle was parked on the street overnight and was unattended. The incident occurred on the 163 block of Howe Lane, SW in unincorporated Loganville. A neighbor was able to smother the flames before the fire truck arrived around 4:30 a.m.
According to the investigator, the family is not aware of anyone who would want to damage their property and there is currently no motive or suspect in the case. The blaze caused heavy damage to the Altima. Radiant heat from the fire caused minor cosmetic damage to a second vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence.
