UPDATE #1: FIRE DAMAGES HOTEL IN NORCROSS Knights Inn, 5122 block of Brookhollow Parkway This update provided by the Fire-PIO on 02/18/19 at 11:53pm. The fire that damaged three units at the Knights Inn Hotel on Brookhollow Parkway in Norcross has been ruled accidental. Per the Fire Investigator, the blaze appears to have started in a unit that was not occupied and was not being rented at the time. The fire is believed to be electrical in nature and originated from a floor mounted HVAC system. Firefighters worked fast and kept the flames contained to the end units of the large single-story structure. There were no injuries reported.

(Norcross, Ga., February 18, 2019) – Firefighters responded at 9:05pm to a report of a fire at the Knights Inn Hotel, located in the 5122 block of Brookhollow Parkway, NW in Norcross. Crews arrived to find heavy flames showing from two units of a single-story hotel building. Occupants were already in the process of evacuation when fire trucks arrived and no injuries were reported. The fire is out at this time and caused heavy damage to two units and moderate damage to a third adjoining unit. A Fire Investigator responded to the scene to assist with determining the origin and cause. The exact cause of the fire is currently undetermined and is under investigation.
