Bank Robbery – Chase, Old Norcross Road

(Duluth, Georgia)  The Gwinnett County Police Department needs the public’s help in identifying a bank robbery suspect.  On Friday, January 11 at around 5pm, a man walked into the Chase Bank at 3780 Old Norcross Road in unincorporated Duluth.  He asked if he could open an account.

Before an employee was available, he left the bank.  He later returned holding a business card in his mouth.  He approached a teller and handed her a note.  The note demanded a large amount of cash.  While she was getting the cash, the suspect was tapping a metal object against the counter.  The teller thought it was a gun, however no weapon was seen.

After he received the cash, he walked out the door towards the Kroger grocery store.  No one saw a vehicle.

The case has been assigned to a detective in the Robbery Unit.  He is asking for tips to help identify the suspect.  If anyone has any information to share in this case, please contact GCPD detectives at 770-513-5300.  To remain anonymous, tipsters should contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or visit www.stopcrimeATL.com.  Crime Stoppers tipsters can receive a cash reward for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this case.  Case Number:  19-003503
