(Lawrenceville, Ga., March 19, 2020) – Over the past two days, the police department’s Community Affairs Section has taken a proactive approach to reaching out to members of the Asian community.  Those members include businesses and organizations who have all had a heightened sense of concern over the tragic events that occurred on Tuesday.   Those communications have not only been to provide support, but also to give crime prevention education, resources, and address their concerns.  The Community Affairs Section will maintain an open dialog with the Asian community and address any additional concerns or issues as they are identified to increase their outreach efforts.
