GWINNETT POLICE SEEKING THE PUBLIC’S HELP IN FINDING A SERIAL SHOPLIFTER

(Lawrenceville, Ga., March 15, 2020) – The Gwinnett County Police Department is seeking the public’s help in locating a serial shoplifting suspect who has stolen from multiple Harbor Freight stores over the past 14 months.  Jared Pierce has targeted Harbor Freight stores across the Atlanta area and has stolen thousands of dollars worth of merchandise from the same stores on several occasions.

Pierce targets welders, plasma cutters, and generators during his thefts.  Pierce struck another store yesterday in Lawrenceville.  During that incident, he loaded up a dolly full of welders and walked right past an employee who tried to stop him as he fled.  Pierce has active warrants, and the police department believes he is avoiding arrest.

Pierce is 6’02 and approximately 245 pounds.  He has long dread locks that he often pulls back, and he walks with a distinct limp.  He has been known to use multiple vehicles during his thefts.  Detectives believe that Pierce will continue to steal from Harbor Freight stores until he is located and arrested.
