Update: Detectives have identified the victim in this case as Illijah Ayala-Bracken (28 years old).  Detectives have arrested Aaron Taylor (31 years old) for the murder.  Taylor has been charged with Aggravated Assault and Felony Murder.  Ayala-Bracken and Taylor knew each other and were in an altercation in the parking lot that led to Taylor shooting Ayala-Bracken, resulting in Ayala-Bracken’s death. 

Original: (Norcross, Ga., July 28, 2021) – Gwinnett Police Detectives are investigating a homicide that occurred at 1405 Beaver Ruin Rd. around 11:15 pm. When officers arrived on scene the located a male in the parking lot suffering from a gunshot wound.  Officers also located another male who was detained and in possession of a firearm.  Detectives believe there was an altercation between the two males which resulted in the shooting.  Detectives are currently questioning witnesses to determine the motive for the shooting.  The Crime Scene Unit is processing the scene for evidence.  The victim’s information will not be been released until next of kin has been notified.
