Gwinnett Police responded to a person shot call this morning at the 2300 block of Club Place (unincorporated Duluth) shortly before 5:00am.  Upon arrival they located a female with an apparent gunshot wound.  She was transported to a local hospital where she later died as a result of her injuries.  Detectives were contacted and responded to the scene.  A search warrant was obtained and the Crime Scene Unit was requested to process the scene.

This situation appears to be domestic related and the male party involved is speaking with detectives.  Identification of the deceased is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
