OFFICER INVOLVED SHOOTING ON OAK HAMPTON WAY

(Duluth, Ga., April 30, 2022) – The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has taken over an Officer-Involved Shooting investigation that occurred on Oak Hampton Way in Duluth.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a domestic incident at Oak Hampton Way, where the suspect’s mother called stating that the adult suspect was armed with a knife. A Gwinnett County Police officer fired a shot during the incident. We are not currently aware of any injuries to officers. The GBI is on scene and has taken over the investigation.
