UPDATE #1: POLICE ARE SEEKING INFORMATION ON SUSPECT(S) INVOLVED IN A SHOOTING

UPDATE: The Gwinnett Police Department is seeking assistance from the public in gathering information on the murder of Ahmed Kadhim (29 year old male from Norcross) which occurred at 707 Tree House Parkway in Norcross on November 8, 2020.  

At this time, a motive for the murder is not clear and witnesses are encouraged to call GCPD Investigators or Atlanta Crime Stoppers with any useful information.  Investigators believe that there may be witnesses or people who have knowledge of this incident.  Those people are strongly encouraged to contact the police department to share that information so that investigators can identify those involved in this murder. Detectives are asking anyone with information that may lead to the identification of a person to please come forward. Witnesses are encouraged to call GCPD Investigators or Atlanta Crime Stoppers with any useful information. 

ORIGINAL: (Norcross, Ga., November 8, 2020) – The Gwinnett County Police Department is investigating a shooting that resulted in the death of a male. Officers were called to an apartment when the victim called police to report he had been shot. Officers located the victim and immediately rendered aid. Paramedics quickly transported to the victim to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Homicide Unit is currently investigating the incident. Detectives have been canvassing the area for witnesses and leads. The Crime Scene Unit responded to the scene to process it for evidence. At this time, there is no motive available and a suspect has not been identified.
