Original, 07/24/19: (Duluth, Snellville, and Peachtree Corners, Georgia)

Gwinnett Police need the public’s help in identifying a suspect connected to several vehicle break-ins and thefts within the past month.  The suspect likes to break into the vehicles outside of various gyms while the owners are inside working out.  The suspect will scout the vehicles in the parking lot and look for wallets and purses that are visible.  When he finds one, he will break into the vehicle and steal the credit cards and cash.

On June 6 the suspect broke into a vehicle parked at Planet Fitness located at 1455 Pleasant Hill Road in unincorporated Duluth.  He then went to RaceTrac located at 906 Pleasant Hill Road and Walmart located at 4004 Lawrenceville Highway and charged at least $250.

On June 8 the suspect broke into a vehicle parked at Crunch Fitness located at 1175 Scenic Highway in unincorporated Snellville.  He then went to Walmart located at 1400 Lawrenceville Highway and charged over $500.

On July 1 the suspect broke into a vehicle parked at Crossfit PPG located at 4505 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Peachtree Corners.  He then went to Kroger located at 3093 Steve Reynolds Boulevard in Duluth and charged at least $500.  The suspect also went to Walmart located at 3059 Lawrenceville Highway in Lawrenceville and attempted to charge at least $2000.

In each of these cases the suspect purchases gift cards.  This has become more and more prevalent in financial transaction card theft/fraud cases.  This suspect tries to avoid surveillance cameras at each of the locations by wearing a hat and tilting his head down.

The suspect is described as a black male with a beard and a tattoo on his left forearm.  In the Planet Fitness theft case he was seen wearing a white shirt, blue jeans, and dirty red/white tennis shoes.  In the Crunch Fitness case he was seen wearing an Atlanta Braves hat, black t-shirt, and black pants.  In the Crossfit PPG case he was seen wearing an Atlanta Braves hat, white shirt, and blue jean shorts.

The suspect is seen driving a white U-Haul pickup truck.
