UPDATE: The victim in this case has been identified as Gracie Miller (62 year old female from Duluth). Detectives have arrested Bryan Miller (53 year old male from Duluth) for this murder. The motive in this case is believed to be domestic related. The other victim has been identified as Shamome Morris (44 year old female of New York). Morris is believed to be a relative who was visiting at the time of the incident. She was injured but is expected to survive. 

(Lawrenceville, Ga., May 18, 2021) – The Gwinnett Police Department is at the scene of a shooting at Reflections on Sweetwater Apartments.   

Shortly after 9:50 pm, officers were dispatched to a “person shot” call at 3405 Sweetwater Rd.  Officers found one female victim deceased in building #6. One additional female victim was transported to a local hospital.

At this time, investigators are exploring all motives.  Witnesses are encouraged to call GCPD Investigators or Atlanta Crime Stoppers with any useful information.
