(Grayson, Georgia)  A 52-year old man died in a single vehicle accident yesterday evening in Grayson.  Shortly before 6pm, officers assigned to the Bay Creek Precinct were dispatched to a vehicle accident on Bennett Road near Reserve Drive in the city of Grayson.  The 911 caller stated that a silver passenger vehicle struck a tree.  Officers arrived on scene along with the Gwinnett County Fire Department and determined that the driver (and only occupant) of the vehicle was deceased. 

Based on the preliminary investigation, investigators determined that Michael Baker (age 52, Grayson) was traveling eastbound on Bennett Road towards Reserve Drive.  The driver failed to negotiate the curve and struck a tree in front of 2010 Bennett Road. 

Speed and alcohol are being investigated as contributing factors to this collision.
