Update #2, 02/19/2020:  The lead detective assigned to this case identified two of the suspects in this homicide. Silvia Najarro (age 19, Lilburn) and Jayce Villafana-Diaz (age 19, Lilburn) have each been charged with Felony Murder and Aggravated Assault.  Yesterday (02/18/2020), they were placed under arrest and booked into the Gwinnett County Jail. We are still seeking tips in this investigation.  Tipsters are encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.

Original, 02/06/2020: (Duluth, Georgia) The GCPD Homicide Unit is investigating a Duluth homicide that has two crime scenes.Shortly after 10pm on Wednesday, February 5, officers were dispatched to a person shot call at the Shell Gas Station located at 1515 Pleasant Hill Road in unincorporated Duluth. Officers were unable to locate a victim in that parking lot. Concerned for the victim’s safety, officers began to canvass the area. The victim was located in front of the apartments at 3740 Club Drive, just a short distance away. The victim’s vehicle (a silver passenger car) was disabled in the roadway from a possible accident. Officers approached the vehicle and located the victim deceased inside. Information on the victim will be released once the next of kin is notified.
