Update #3, 06/02/2020:
During the course of the homicide investigation, detectives identified two suspects in this case as Tavares Norah (age 25) and Prince Robertson (age 27). On Monday, June 1, officers assigned to the East Precinct responded to an armed robbery call at the Auto Zone at 645 Dacula Road in Dacula.  The call came in around 9pm.  The employees told the responding officers that a black male suspect entered the store and demanded the store’s cash while pointing a gun at them.  He fled the store in a black vehicle.

Officers eventually tracked down the suspects’ vehicle where it crashed on La Maison Drive approximately 3 miles from the Auto Zone.  Officers saturated the area looking for the suspects, and Reverse 911s were issued neighboring homes.

Detectives and officers determined that the two suspects who fled the vehicle were the same suspects from the homicide at the O’Reilly’s.  After an exhaustive search that spanned several hours, the suspects were not found.

The suspects are wanted for Armed Robbery and Murder against Felix Cosme.  Both Norah and Robertson have other outstanding warrants.

Tavares Norah (age 25) is 6 feet tall and weighs 172 lbs.

Prince Robertson (age 27) is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 153 lbs.  He currently has a cornrow hairstyle.

Both suspects were wearing dark clothing as of June 1.  They are considered armed and dangerous.

The FBI is still offering a reward of $15,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspects involved in this crime.  This reward money is separate from the reward offered by Crime Stoppers of Greater Atlanta.  Tipsters interested in the reward are encouraged to call the FBI at (770) 216-3000.

Original, 01/08/2020:  (Buford, Georgia) The GCPD Homicide Unit is investigating a robbery-attempt turned homicide at the O’Reilly’s Auto Parts store on Hamilton Mill Road earlier this evening.

At 7:45 PM, officers assigned to the North Precinct were dispatched to a “person shot” call at the auto parts store located at 2786 Hamilton Mill Road in Buford.  When officers arrived, they found a deceased male inside the store.

There were two employees working at the store at the time of the incident.  A female employee was outside assisting a customer when she noticed a black male seated in a vehicle in the parking lot.  Based on the preliminary investigation, the black male followed her back inside when she was done with the customer.  Once they got back inside, the suspect asked her to open the cash drawer.

The second employee, a male, walked out from the back of the store and saw the interaction between the female and the suspect.  The male employee attempted to pull his weapon when he was shot by the suspect.  The victim died at the scene.

The suspect fled the store, got into his vehicle, and was last seen driving towards Interstate 85.

The Crime Scene Unit along with investigators from the Homicide Unit, Robbery Unit, Gang Unit, and the District Attorney’s Office are working together to determine the events of the crime.  It is still unclear if this crime is related to any other events in the area or in the past.  A specific description of the suspect and his vehicle are still being pursued.  Once those details are known, this Media Release will be updated.
