Two Burglaries Cost Businesses Nearly $1 Million

(Duluth & Lawrenceville, Georgia)  Detectives assigned to the Burglary Unit need the public’s help in identifying a group of suspects responsible for two thefts of nearly a million dollars.

On Sunday, September 23, at approximately 1pm, a silver Nissan Sentra or Altima dropped off four suspects wearing all black at the Dow Electronics warehouse at 1685 Boggs Road in unincorporated Duluth.  Video surveillance shows three suspects walk to the shipping bay door while one waited in the nearby wood line.  After approximately 15 minutes, the three suspects who went to the bay door can be seen running away towards the woods along with an additional person. At approximately 2am (4 hours later) a commercial truck arrives and parks its trailer at the door where items from the warehouse were loaded.  The truck leaves and comes back to the trailer multiple times before ultimately leaving with the trailer, along with over $350,000 worth of electronics stolen from the warehouse.  (18-088981)

The trailer was previously reported stolen in Atlanta and later recovered in Miami, Florida.

Between October 5 and October 8, another burglary occurred at Stampede Presentation Products at 3505 Newpoint Place in unincorporated Lawrenceville.  In this case, suspects loaded electronics onto two commercial trucks.  The value of theft from this business is about $600,000.  (18-093493)

The two detectives assigned to these cases believe there is a possibility that the same suspects are responsible for both crimes.
