Update #2, 08/15/2018: After an extensive and thorough investigation, the lead detective assigned to this case has charged Terrence Darnell Lee (age 32, Conyers) with the homicide on Grand Manor Trail in unincorporated Snellville.

Shortly after the murder, a red Dodge Journey was seen leaving the area on a privately owned personal security camera.  Terrence was developed as a person of interest who had access to the vehicle during the time of the homicide.

Terrence also had an outstanding warrant for probation violation.  He was arrested on August 9 and brought to GCPD Headquarters for questioning.  Following his interview, he was transported to the Gwinnett County Jail and booked in for the outstanding warrant with no bond.  The detective used this time to continue the investigation and obtain valuable evidence positively linking Terrence to the murder and other crimes around the area.

On August 14, Terrence was formally charged in relation to 3 separate crimes in Gwinnett County.  In reference to the homicide, Terrence was charged with Felony Murder, Aggravated Assault, Home Invasion, and Use of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Terrence was also charged with crimes in relation to a Home Invasion that occurred at 3535 Grand Manor Trail in unincorporated Snellville on July 28 (18-069714).  These charges are for Armed Robbery, Home Invasion, Aggravated Assault (2 counts), and Possession of a Firearm during a Felony.

He was also is being charged in an Armed Robbery that occurred at 4183 Moonbeam Way in unincorporated Snellville on July 29 (18-069980).  He is facing warrants for Armed Robbery (2 counts), Possession of a Firearm during a Felony, and Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon.

Based on all these investigations, Terrence is also a suspect in cases in Hillsboro County (FL), Rockdale County, and the city of Snellville.  We are still looking at other cases in Gwinnett County that may have been committed by Terrence.  Additional charges could be forthcoming in the coming weeks.

The arrest of Terrence Lee was made due to the dedication of the Criminal Investigations Section, the Uniform Division, and other valuable units.  Terrence targeted innocent people and created a fear within members of the community.  His arrest should help ease the minds of those living in the southern end of Gwinnett County.
