UPDATE #1: Charges Made in Fatal Motorcycle Crash

Update #1, 04/01/2020:  The lead investigator has charged the driver of the passenger car for her involvement in this case.Natalie Merizalde (age 20, Lawrenceville) has been charged with Vehicular Homicide (2nd Degree) and Failure to Yield while Turning Left.  She is aware of the warrants and is making arrangements to turn herself in.

Original, 03/30/2020:  (Lawrenceville, Georgia)  A Suwanee man died in a Friday afternoon crash on a Lawrenceville road.

Shortly before 6pm on Friday, March 27, officers assigned to the East Precinct were dispatched to an injury crash at the intersection of Collins Hill Road and Russell Road in unincorporated Lawrenceville.  The caller stated that a motorcycle driver was involved and was injured.

The motorcycle driver, Robert Boren (age 49, Suwanee), was transported to a local hospital where he died as a result of his injuries. 

Based on the preliminary investigation, the driver of a Honda Accord attempted to turn left in front of the motorcycle who was traveling straight.  The vehicles collided, and the motorcycle driver was ejected.

The investigation is still active; no charges have been filed at this time.  The driver and passenger inside the Honda were not injured.
