GWINNETT, CITY OF SNELLVILLE BREAK GROUND ON ELIZABETH WILLIAMS BRANCH OF THE GWINNETT COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY AND SNELLVILLE EDUCATIONAL SPACE

WHAT: Gwinnett and city of Snellville officials will break ground on the Elizabeth Williams Branch of the Gwinnett County Public Library and Snellville Educational Space. The SPLOST-funded project will replace the Elizabeth Williams branch on Lenora Church Road. The two-story building will house the library on the first floor while the second floor will be operated by the city for educational uses.

WHEN: Jan. 11, 3:00 p.m.

WHO:  Gwinnett County Public Library Executive Director Charles Pace will emcee the event. Speakers include Board of Commissioners Chairwoman Nicole Hendrickson, Vice-Chair and District 3 Commissioner Jasper Watkins III, Snellville Mayor Barbara Bender and Gwinnett County Public Library Board of Trustees Vice Chair JT Wu.

WHERE: Parking for the groundbreaking is available at Snellville City Hall, located at 2342 Oak Road in Snellville. A shuttle will take guests to the groundbreaking site. Please arrive early and wear comfortable, closed toe shoes. Photo and B-roll opportunities will also be available following the event
