(Lawrenceville, Ga., May 2, 2022) – Gwinnett Parks and Recreation has increased the starting pay for part-time positions in its division to $16 per hour.

“We believe this pay increase is important to retain our current employees and show how much we value them while also attracting new candidates to join our team,” said Division Director Chris Minor. “Our ability to maintain our outstanding facilities and programming is dependent on equity, fairness and an ability to compete within the job market.”

The part-time positions with pay increase are:

• Adult Athletic Specialist – $16 per hour
• Parks Crew Members – $16 per hour
• Recreation Program Leaders – $16 per hour
• Tennis Attendant – $16 per hour
• Lifeguard 1 – $16.50 per hour
• Water Safety Instructors – $30 per hour
