OFFICIALS GATHER TO BREAK GROUND ON BAY CREEK POLICE PRECINCT/ALTERNATE 911 CENTER
WHAT: Gwinnett County Government officials will gather today to break ground on the site of the future Bay Creek Police Precinct and Alternate 911 Center.
The Bay Creek Police Precinct will enhance safety and security for one of the fastest-growing areas in Gwinnett County by heightening police presence and reducing response times. The precinct will also house crime prevention and community relations officers to strengthen the relationship between police and the public.
The Alternate 911 Center will provide reliable communication with officers and other agencies during critical incidents, including weather-related events, where communications might otherwise be compromised.
WHEN: Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 4 p.m.
WHO: Gwinnett County Police Chief Butch Ayers will emcee the event. Board of Commissioners Chairman Charlotte Nash and District 3 Commissioner Tommy Hunter will provide remarks.
