SOLID WASTE COLLECTION DELAYED IN RESPONSE TO INCLEMENT WEATHER

WHAT:  With the potential for unsafe road conditions Monday, Jan. 17, solid waste collection in unincorporated Gwinnett will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week. Residents who live in a city should contact their city to find out if trash and recycling will be delayed due to the inclement weather.

Republic Services has resumed limited recycling services based on staff availability. The company will notify customers on the evening prior to their scheduled service to inform customers if recycling will be picked up the next day. At this time, bulky item and yard waste pickup remains suspended to prioritize trash collection.

Waste Management has paused collection of yard waste and bulky item pickup in unincorporated Gwinnett County, also due to a limited workforce. Waste Management will prioritize trash and recycling services.

WHEN: Gwinnett County’s contracted solid waste haulers will not collect solid waste Monday, Jan. 17. Collection will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the week, with routes running Tuesday, Jan. 18 to Saturday, Jan. 22.
