In an effort to protect citizens and enable a safer method of voting during the COVID-19 pandemic, the Georgia Secretary of State's Office has mailed absentee ballot applications to all active registered voters. We encourage all residents to complete and return the application by mail, email, or fax.

Social distancing is critical to slowing the spread of COVID-19. This alternative voting method eliminates the need to visit a poll or advance voting location in person.

Please remember that this is a primary election, so you will need to choose a party ballot; if you choose nonpartisan, your ballot will ONLY contain judicial races. Once you receive your ballot, you can vote from the convenience of your home, then mail the ballot back (envelopes are pre-addressed) or drop your ballot off at the Beauty P. Baldwin Voter Registrations and Elections Office in Lawrenceville. Ballots must be in the office by 7:00pm Election Day to be counted.

If you have any questions or need additional information, please contact the Elections Office at 678.226.7210 or email absentee@gwinnettcounty.com. The rescheduled Presidential Preference Primary Election and the state and local primary is still scheduled for May 19.
