On February 17, Governor Kemp signed into law new district maps for the Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners and Gwinnett County Board of Education

Shortly after the bills were signed into law by the Governor, the Gwinnett Voter Registrations & Elections Division began assigning voters into their new Congressional, State Senate, State House, Board of Commissioners, and Board of Education districts.

Eligible voters should expect to receive a new precinct card with their updated districts around April in advance of the May 24 General Primary and Nonpartisan General Election. The new districts information is also available at MVP.SOS.GA.gov.

Governor Kemp also signed into law a bill to make school board elections nonpartisan positions. Now, two Gwinnett School Board races, Districts 2 and 4, will appear on the General Primary and Nonpartisan General Election ballot in May instead of appearing on the November 8 General Election ballot.

Qualifying for School Board Member will now take place in the same manner as other nonpartisan offices in the county. Nonpartisan candidates will qualify at the Voter Registrations & Elections Beauty P. Bladwin Building.

Please note that all nonpartisan races will appear on Democratic and Republican ballots and voters can also request to vote only a nonpartisan ballot.
