All Gwinnett County government offices, except for those operations required for the comfort and safety of residents, will be closed Friday, June 19 to honor and celebrate the Juneteenth holiday. County offices will resume normal business hours on Monday, June 22. A Magistrate Court judge will be available at the Gwinnett County Detention Center during the holiday.

After Juneteenth was recognized as a federal and state holiday, Gwinnett commissioners established Juneteenth as an official County holiday for employees. The designation is a reflection of the community’s vibrant diversity.
