Website and Digital Content Accessibility

Gwinnett County is committed to ensuring digital accessibility to Gwinnett County websites, applications, and digital content. We continuously work to identify, prioritize, and remove accessibility barriers in our digital platforms, applications, and electronic resources. Our efforts include ongoing monitoring, assessment, and enhancement of our website and digital infrastructure.

Title II of the ADA has incorporated Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level A and AA as the technical standards applicable to state and local government. WCAG 2.1 outlines requirements that make web content and mobile apps more accessible for people with a wide array of disabilities. Gwinnett County web content, excluding content specifically excepted from the technical standards, will be required to conform to the requirements specified in WCAG 2.1 by the effective date for compliance, which currently is April 26, 2027.

We welcome comments on how to improve digital accessibility for users with disabilities. Any comments or concerns about digital accessibility can be directed to the ADA Coordinator named below.
