The inmate search database is managed by the Sheriff’s Office and allows you to conduct searches by name and booking date. All information provided is considered public information.

The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office currently allows video visitation through Securus Technologies.
Securus phone services and video visitation are monitored; and may be examined for contraband or evidence of wrongdoing.

The Gwinnett County Sheriff’s Office has a mail policy in place to mitigate the introduction of drugs and contraband into the facility.

General Correspondence

All inmate mail with the exception of legal correspondence, religious mail, money orders and packages will be mailed to a central processing facility. This mail must be in the form of a postcard. At the JailATM mail processing facility, postcards will be scanned and made available electronically to the inmates for a period of 14 days via JailATM kiosk or tablet.

Note: Bulk mailings are NOT permitted at JailATM.com and will be denied.

Postcards should be mailed to the following address utilizing the current mail guidelines:

Legal Mail

  • Legal Mail should be mailed directly to the jail. All legal mail must be clearly marked as being sent from an attorney, court official, government official, or consulate.
  • Religious Mail should be mailed directly to the jail and must come directly from a religious organization utilizing the current mail guidelines.
  • Money Orders should be mailed directly to the jail for deposit only. Packages should be mailed directly to the jail, utilizing the current guidelines.

According to Gwinnett County policy, unacceptable mail will be returned to the post office. Unacceptable mail received at the Central Mail Processing Facility will be rejected via the central mail system and destroyed. All rejected scanned mail will be electronically stored for investigative purposes.

Types of unacceptable mail include but are not limited to:

  • Defaced or altered postcards
  • Mail containing plastic wrappings
  • Mail marked with paint, magic markers, or crayons
  • Mail with stickers or labels including address labels
  • Mail with watermarks or stained in any manner
  • Mail with any biohazards, including lipstick and perfumes
  • Mail depicting weapons or gang references
  • Mail containing sexually explicit content or nudity
  • Mail containing swimwear, lingerie, or any inappropriate clothing
  • Oversized postcards
  • Mail written in code or containing drawings
