The Gwinnett County Sheriff's Office sets a standard of excellence. With over a million residents across 17 municipalities, we are dedicated to serving every citizen with innovation, excellence, and efficiency. Our team of more than 800 operates 30 miles northeast of the Atlanta metropolitan area. Proudly certified by the National Commission on Correctional Health Care (NCCHC), we are committed to enhancing the quality of care and treatment for incarcerated individuals housed at the Gwinnett County Jail.

Sheriff Keybo Taylor
Sheriff Taylor is responsible for law enforcement on a county level, ensuring that all local, state, and federal laws are followed. He oversees the operations of the Gwinnett County Jail and ensures that all court documents ordered by judges are served. Sheriff Taylor is also responsible for providing security at courthouses and county buildings, protecting judges and juries, preventing breaches of the peace, responsible for security at public events, and coordinating with city police departments.
