To assist individuals seeking our public records, Gwinnett County offers an online open records portal. Requests for records from Gwinnett County Departments and Offices may be made through the online portal and will be coordinated through Gwinnett County’s Open Records Office.

Our open records officer is available to answer any questions you may have regarding an open records request. For more information on the Georgia Open Records Act, please visit the Office of the Attorney General’s website.

Court records from the office of the Superior, State and Magistrate Court Clerk are not subject to an open records request and are not available through the County’s online portal.

To obtain these records, please visit Gwinnett Courts or call 770.822.8100 for additional information.

Police Requests

You may obtain hard copies of initial incident or accident reports by visiting in person any of the seven locations throughout the county. If your report is complete and available for release, you can pick it up immediately at one of these locations. If you wish to receive it electronically, you must submit an open records request.
